Every now and then I lose touch with myself and the reason I started blogging in the first place. But I have decided that from here on out I won’t hold back when it comes to sharing my thoughts with you guys because it is actually the reason why I started blogging.

Do you ever feel like you are not good enough? Do you ever feel like you are working so hard and yet you are not where you want to be in life? or maybe you’re feeling unmotivated and wanting to give up. you are not alone. I feel the same way too, and all those symptoms are called ADULTING… LOL Now you understand why Peter Pan didn’t want to grow up.

I personally know how talented I am, I know I am good at so many things and I know how hard I work when it comes to my craft. But every now and then i feel discouraged and often question my abilities.

Where did the energy go? … You was so excited about this yesterday

Now ask yourself “what happened to my excitement, to my enthusiasm, and to my passion for creating the things that I love.” Is it that you really wasn’t passionate about it from the start? or that you just didn’t follow through like every other thing in your life. That’s possible, but what if that’s, not the case. There are a handful of reasons our energies are slipping and we all just need to find ways to get ourselves out of the funk and find ways to sustain our energies so we can avoid falling into crisis.

My Goals Are Mine!

One mistake that a lot of us make is trying to impress others. So we end up choosing goals that don’t really matter to us. And that sucks because this only works for a little while until you lose interest and start feeling unmotivated. You want to make sure that your goals are yours, make sure its something that you are truly passionate about, something that you cannot go to sleep without thinking about. When your chosen goal isn’t your own, you will find it hard explaining to someone why what you do matters, and simultaneously feel good about it. When your goals are yours you will not only feel it in your mind but in your heart and soul.

Do you take the time to celebrate small victories?

When we make a small mistake we always feel good about it, but when we accomplish a small goal we almost never feel good about it, and I am guilty of that too. We are very fast to punish ourselves for bad performance but yet very slow to celebrate a good performance. In order to be happy and self-fulfilled, we need to learn to celebrate little victories and stop letting minor roadblock kick us off track. Celebrating little victories is very rewarding, it increases our motivation and makes it easier to go after your long-term goals. It builds your confidence and helps you keep moving and that keeps you happy.

I can tell you for sure that most of the time we create stress for ourselves, When we accomplish something good we don’t take the time to enjoy and celebrate it, instead we want more and when we don’t get more, we become stressed out and unhappy.

Learn to acknowledge your growth and celebrate all the little things.

What are you afraid of?

For me, it was the fear of failure. What if people don’t like my work, what if I cant keep up and what if i making a fool of myself. But when we really think about it, and look at the reasons for fearing failure they all lead back to one thing. We are afraid to fail because of the hurt such failue might have on our egos.

Another factor that greatly contributes to our fear of failure is our social status and how others perceive us. We believe that failing will be seen as a negative thing in the eye of others, and so now our egos are thinking and telling us that we will be laughed at and humiliated should we put our all into something and come short.

Learn to take a step back and ask your self what are you really afraid of and why. Then take the necessary steps to help you overcome your fears. Convince your ego that the cuts and bruises it might suffer can actually be worn as battle scars to show people how much you fought for something.

You are not alone…

I was gonna end with a big motivational quote, but honestly, I thought about it and I will rather just tell you the fact. Which is life is always gonna have ups and downs, we are gonna get in and out of funks and feel unmotivated somethings, but the key is not giving up and always remembering that it is only tempory. Find something that really keeps you going and stay inspired.
